StreetLight Zones – Zone boundary layers throughout the region and the Western US and Mexico are a compilation of various geographies consolidated into a single dataset with the intent of creating zones that include areas where a high concentration of commercial vehicle origins and destinations occur. These Zones were used by StreetLight Data to to assign an origin and destination value to the trip counts.
SANDAG StreetLight Origin/Destination – Provided by StreetLight; 2017; origin and destination truck trip data, aggregated by Streetlight Zone (see StreetLight Zones), for the months of (2) February, (4) April, (6) June, (8) August, (10) October, (12) December; Data is displayed by pairing the origin point to the destination point (centroid of the StreetLight Zone). The centroids are connected to a line to visually represent the number of trips that occurred between those two zones during the period (the line does not represent the actual route taken).
